Description
A broken toe is an incredibly common and painful injury, typically caused by forcefully stubbing the toe against a solid piece of furniture or dropping a heavy object directly onto the foot. While often perceived as a minor nuisance that is simply "buddy taped" to heal, a displaced fracture in the big toe (hallux) is far more serious, as it bears a significant portion of the body's weight during walking.
