Abnormal change in the color of the skin.
Clinical Details
The primary symptom is a dark ring of bruising encircling the eye socket. It initially appears dark red or purple as fresh blood pools under the skin. Over a period of one to two weeks, as the body breaks down the hemoglobin, the bruise transitions through shades of green and yellow before fading.
