Definition
An abnormal, puffy enlargement of the toe.
Clinical Details
The injured toe swells rapidly, taking on a thick, sausage-like appearance compared to the uninjured foot. The skin becomes tight and shiny. In severe breaks, the toe may also appear slightly crooked or twisted, resting at an unnatural angle compared to the other toes.
