Description
A pelvic fracture is a severe skeletal injury involving a break in the robust bony structure situated at the base of the spine. High-energy trauma, such as a motorcycle crash or a fall from a significant height, is usually required to fracture a healthy pelvis, though mild falls can cause fractures in elderly patients with osteoporosis.
