Biceps Tendon Rupture (CLINICAL)
Description
A biceps tendon rupture involves the tearing of the strong connective tissue that anchors the biceps muscle to either the shoulder or the elbow. It most commonly happens during heavy weightlifting or when trying to catch a heavy, falling object with a bent arm. The injury causes a sudden loss of tension in the muscle, significantly affecting arm strength.
