Definition
A noticeable decrease in physical strength in the affected limb.
Clinical Details
The patient will experience a profound weakness when attempting to bend the elbow against resistance or when trying to rotate the forearm palms-up (supination). Because the mechanical linkage is severed, the muscle cannot properly transmit force to the bone. This weakness is typically permanent without surgical repair.
