Lumbar Muscle Strain (CLINICAL)

Description

A lumbar muscle strain occurs when the heavy, supportive muscles of the lower back are subjected to excessive load, sudden twisting, or poor lifting mechanics. It is one of the most common causes of acute back pain, frequently resulting from lifting a heavy object while bending at the waist rather than the knees. The resulting micro-tears in the muscle fibers trigger a cascade of localized inflammation and painful muscle spasms.
