Description
An ACL tear is a common, severe knee injury involving the disruption of the primary stabilizing ligament connecting the thighbone to the shinbone. It most frequently occurs during sports that involve sudden stops, jumping, or directional changes, such as soccer, football, and skiing. Female athletes are statistically more prone to this injury due to biomechanical and anatomical differences.
