Inability to fully extend or flex a joint.
Clinical Details
Due to massive swelling and internal joint derangement, the patient cannot fully straighten or bend the injured leg. The torn ligament ends can sometimes get physically caught in the joint hinge mechanism, blocking movement. Walking is generally severely impaired or impossible without assistance.
