Description
A glenohumeral dislocation is a severe joint injury where the head of the humerus completely separates from the glenoid fossa. Because the shoulder is the body's most mobile joint, it is highly susceptible to being forced out of place by a strong blow or extreme rotation. Once dislocated, the joint becomes inherently unstable and prone to repeat dislocations.
