Description

Huntington's Disease is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder caused by a mutation in the HTT gene, leading to the production of a toxic protein that damages neurons, particularly in the basal ganglia. It causes severe movement, cognitive, and psychiatric disorders. Symptoms usually first appear in individuals in their 30s or 40s.
