Clinical Details
Hypercalcemia (high blood calcium) interferes with normal neurological electrical signaling and neurotransmitter release in the brain. Patients frequently present with vague, insidious psychiatric symptoms often described as 'brain fog'. This can manifest as depression, severe fatigue, memory loss, and difficulty concentrating.
