Description
A tibial fracture is a major structural injury resulting from high-energy impacts such as car accidents, severe sports collisions, or significant falls. As the major weight-bearing bone of the lower leg, a break severely compromises the patient's mobility. Because the tibia sits just beneath the skin, these are frequently open fractures where the bone punctures outward.
