Definition

A significant blurring or generalized reduction in visual acuity.

Clinical Details

The ordinarily transparent cornea becomes cloudy and opaque due to heavy infiltrates of white blood cells and thick fungal elements. This loss of optical clarity severely degrades the eye's ability to focus incoming light.
