A localized collection of purulent exudate accumulated within a newly formed tissue cavity.
Clinical Details
In aggressive or deeper infections, the fungi trigger massive neutrophil recruitment and tissue necrosis. The resulting cavity fills with pus, fungal elements, and necrotic cellular debris that requires clinical drainage.
