A mild form of mania marked by elation and hyperactivity but without severe impairment.
Clinical Details
Hypomania involves heightened energy and mood states that are noticeable to others but do not completely disrupt occupational or social functioning. It is thought to share underlying monoamine dysregulation with full mania, though to a lesser degree.
