Clinical Details
The inflammatory attack heavily targets the skin situated directly over the extensor joints of the hands, elbows, and knees. The tissue becomes structurally thickened, highly inflamed, and violently discolored, mimicking the visual appearance of severe psoriasis. These highly specific lesions are pathognomonic, meaning their mere presence definitively confirms the clinical diagnosis of the disease.
