An extreme, unrelenting physical and mental exhaustion that worsens progressively throughout the day.

Clinical Details

Cortisol is the primary biological hormone responsible for mobilizing stored energy and regulating the body's entire metabolic response to daily activities. Without this essential glucocorticoid, the patient's cells are completely starved of readily available glucose during periods of minor physical or emotional stress. This results in a crippling, debilitating lethargy that forces the patient to remain constantly bedridden.
