An abnormally low, frequently dangerous resting blood pressure causing severe dizziness and fainting.
Clinical Details
The total absence of aldosterone causes the kidneys to rapidly excrete vast amounts of vital sodium and water directly into the urine. This massive fluid loss drastically reduces the total circulating blood volume, causing the systemic blood pressure to violently plummet. Patients frequently collapse entirely when attempting to simply stand up from a seated position.
