Clinical Details
The localized immune attack aggressively severs the base of the hair shaft from its nutrient supply within the follicle. The affected hairs suddenly fall out in large clumps, frequently leaving behind smooth, coin-sized areas of completely bare skin overnight. The scalp itself looks entirely normal, lacking any signs of physical scaling, redness, or surface scarring.
