A deeply unique fever pattern that rises and falls predictably in waves over weeks.
Clinical Details
The bacteria multiply silently within immune cells until the cells burst, releasing a massive wave of antigens into the blood that spikes the fever. The immune system temporarily suppresses the free bacteria, lowering the temperature, only for the cycle to ruthlessly repeat. This wave-like temperature fluctuation is the hallmark clinical sign of the chronic infection.
