Fierce, intermittent, and agonizing spasms localized heavily around the navel.
Clinical Details
As the pathogen extensively inflames the delicate mucosal lining of the intestines, the smooth muscle tissues become highly irritable. The bowels spasm violently as they attempt to force the toxic luminal contents out of the body. The resulting cramps are frequently so severe that they perfectly mimic the pain of acute appendicitis.
