Clinical Details
Circulating immune complexes can deposit into the synovial tissues of joints, causing transient inflammation. This symptom disproportionately affects adult women, causing aching and stiffness in the hands, wrists, and knees. The discomfort typically resolves spontaneously without causing long-term joint damage.
