Definition
An abnormal growth of cells within the brain or skull, which can be malignant (cancerous) or benign (noncancerous). These masses can originate in the brain (primary) or spread from elsewhere (metastatic). They cause symptoms by pressing on, damaging, or increasing pressure within the brain.
