Clinical Details
The majority of women with this syndrome suffer from profound insulin resistance, forcing the pancreas to pump out excess insulin. This high insulin environment aggressively promotes the storage of fat, particularly in the visceral cavity. The resulting weight gain further worsens the underlying hormonal imbalances.
