Clinical Details
When a specific hemisphere of the brain is deprived of oxygen, the motor neurons controlling the opposite side of the body die. This results in a sudden loss of muscle strength, typically affecting the arm, leg, and facial muscles on one side. The severity depends on the size and location of the clot.
