Clinical Details
The sheer force of the crush invariably shatters the delicate metacarpal and phalangeal bones into multiple pieces. The fingers and palm will exhibit grotesque visual deformities, appearing twisted, flattened, or misaligned. Moving the hand is impossible and causes the broken bones to grind together painfully.
