Deep Shoulder Ache
Type: Symptom
Definition
A persistent, dull pain deep inside the shoulder joint.
Clinical Details
Unlike a surface muscle strain, the pain of a torn labrum is difficult to pinpoint and feels as though it is located deep inside the joint itself. It is a constant, nagging ache that predictably worsens with overhead activities or when sleeping on the affected side. Pushing or pulling heavy objects exacerbates the deep pain.
