Severe cramping and aching in the sides of the face.
Clinical Details
The massive masseter and temporalis muscles that control chewing go into an immediate, severe spasm in response to the joint displacement. This causes intense, cramping pain in the cheeks and temples that worsens the longer the jaw remains out of place. The joint itself also aches deeply due to stretched ligaments.
