Clinical Details
The top layer of skin is completely stripped away, leaving a raw, pink or red patch of exposed dermis. This surface is often weeping clear plasma fluid as the body attempts to naturally clean and cover the wound. Dirt, gravel, or debris may be visibly embedded in the raw tissue.
