Clinical Details
As the deep internal bleeding slowly makes its way to the surface of the skin, a massive area of bruising appears. It typically starts as a deep purplish-black and evolves through spreading shades of green and yellow. Because the bleeding is deep, the visible bruise may not appear until days after the initial impact.
