The abnormal alignment of the upper and lower teeth.
Clinical Details
The most defining symptom is that the patient's teeth no longer fit together correctly when they bite down. The broken segments of the jawbone shift out of place, causing the bite to feel profoundly uneven, twisted, or entirely displaced. This structural misalignment makes chewing impossible.
