Thermal injuries marking where current entered and exited the body.
Clinical Details
The patient will often have distinct, deep burns at the specific points where the electrical current entered the body (e.g., the hand) and where it exited to ground (e.g., the foot). These contact burns may appear small and charred on the surface but often hide massive, devastating tissue destruction deeper inside the muscle and bone.
