Definition
An abnormal twisting or misalignment of the finger.
Clinical Details
When the patient attempts to make a fist, the broken finger may cross over or scissor under its neighbor rather than curling straight down toward the palm. This indicates that the broken bone ends have twisted out of their proper rotational alignment. Deformities where the finger bends at an unnatural angle are also common.
