Blue-black discoloration of connective tissue, such as cartilage and skin.
Clinical Details
The accumulation of pigment in the cartilage of the ears and the sclera of the eyes becomes visible as dark patches. This typically develops after age 30 and serves as a visible marker of systemic acid buildup.
