Definition
A noticeable visual alteration in the shape of the knee.
Clinical Details
The knee takes on an abnormal, grotesque appearance as the patella visibly shifts to the outer side of the joint. The normal contour of the knee is lost, and the skin may appear tightly stretched over the displaced bone. The leg is typically locked in a slightly bent position.
