Severe discomfort at the back of the ankle.
Clinical Details
An immediate, sharp pain is felt at the back of the ankle or lower calf, often accompanied by a loud pop or snap. The pain is severe enough to halt activity instantly. Walking or bearing weight on the affected leg becomes excruciating or impossible.
