Highly unpleasant physical sensation caused by illness or injury.
Clinical Details
Severe, immediate pain occurs at the site of the break due to the severing of nerve endings in the periosteum covering the bone. The pain acutely intensifies with any attempted movement of the arm or shoulder. Muscle spasms surrounding the fracture often compound this pain.
