Areas of thick, irregularly shaped, and slightly elevated skin, often found on the lower back.
Clinical Details
The genetic defect leads to excessive production of collagen and connective tissue in localized areas of the dermis. These patches feel leathery to the touch and typically develop during childhood or early adolescence.
