Definition
A severe delay in physical growth, resulting in short stature and low weight.
Clinical Details
Despite seemingly normal development in the first few months of life, affected infants rapidly fall off the growth charts. The systemic cellular dysfunction prevents normal tissue expansion, keeping the child exceptionally small and frail.
