A distinctive posture where the fingers overlap tightly into a fist.
Clinical Details
Due to abnormal muscle tone and neurological defects, infants typically hold their hands tightly closed. Characteristically, the index finger overlaps the middle finger, and the pinky overlaps the ring finger, a posture very resistant to passive opening.
