A congenital condition featuring extra folds of skin along the sides of the neck.
Clinical Details
During fetal development, lymphatic fluid can build up in the back of the neck, forming cystic hygromas. When these cysts resolve before birth, they leave behind stretched pockets of skin that connect the shoulders to the head.
