Severe inflammation, cracking, and scaling of the skin around the mouth and genital regions.
Clinical Details
The rapidly dividing mucosal tissues of the mouth and genitals require high amounts of B vitamins for constant cellular regeneration. The severe deficiency causes these specific barriers to break down entirely. Patients suffer from intensely painful, weeping lesions and deep fissures around the lips, scrotum, or vulva.
