Clinical Details
Without Coenzyme A, the citric acid (Krebs) cycle cannot function properly, drastically reducing the cellular production of ATP (energy). Every tissue in the body effectively starves for biochemical energy despite caloric intake. Patients suffer from unrelenting exhaustion, apathy, and an inability to perform even basic physical tasks.
