Rapid, involuntary, and repetitive movements of the eyes.
Clinical Details
The delicate extraocular muscles and their controlling neurological pathways are highly sensitive to electrolyte imbalances. Hypomagnesemia disrupts the neurological coordination required for stable gaze fixation. The eyes may drift slowly in one direction before snapping quickly back, severely impairing visual focus.
