Definition
A skin condition causing scaly patches and red skin, mainly on the scalp and face.
Clinical Details
Impaired lipid metabolism due to lack of riboflavin leads to dermatological changes, particularly in areas dense with sebaceous glands. Patients develop greasy, scaly, and erythematous lesions around the nasolabial folds, ears, and eyelids. The skin appears chronically inflamed and sheds abnormally.
