Difficult or unclear articulation of speech that is otherwise linguistically normal.
Clinical Details
As copper accumulates in the basal ganglia of the brain, it disrupts the motor control required for speech. This leads to slurred, slow, or difficult-to-understand vocalization despite the patient's intact cognitive ability.
