Mild Diabetes Mellitus
Type: Symptom
Definition
A chronic condition resulting in elevated blood sugar levels.
Clinical Details
Glucagon acts in direct opposition to insulin. The constant, high-volume secretion of glucagon continuously signals the liver to release glucose into the bloodstream, overwhelming the body's natural insulin response. This results in persistent hyperglycemia and the onset of diabetes, though it is usually milder than typical Type 1 or Type 2.
