Clinical Details
The relentless flood of growth hormone strongly stimulates the chondrocytes within the open epiphyseal plates of the long bones. This causes the bones of the legs and arms to lengthen at an explosive rate. The child's growth velocity drastically exceeds the normal parameters for their age and genetic potential.
