Noticeable and progressive increase in the size of hands and feet.
Clinical Details
As the excess growth hormone stimulates tissue, the bones of the hands and feet undergo abnormal appositional growth, becoming thicker and wider. Patients often notice this insidiously, realizing their rings no longer fit or their shoe size has increased over several years. The hands take on a wide, 'spade-like' appearance.
